Classification of Cement Plants
Time:2018-07-08

Cement plants can be classified by different methods. The most used classification method is by its mobility. Stationary cement plants, usually of large scale, are stationed in one place and inconvenient to be moved from one place to another. A stationary plant consists of separated parts joint to each other after being installed. Featured by big productivity and stable working state, it’s commonly applied for large-scale construction project. The other type, mobile cement plant, is usually trailed by a truck, thus it’s convenient for it to move from place to place. Nevertheless, its productivity is smaller, so it’s suitable for medium or small construction projects. Some clients simply buy it for rent.

In accordance with technological arrangement the cement plant has one-step type and two-step type. One-step type usually consists of stock layer, weigh layer, stirring layer and discharging layer. Although it’s of high stirring efficiency, one-step plant is featured by complex construction, difficult removal and high cost. In comparison, the two-step plant proves to be more cost efficient and convenient. In spite of the fact that it takes up more area and mixes more slowly, the two-step concrete plant wins much more popularity in application. Further more, improved two-step plant can compete with that of one-step in productivity. By operation mode concrete plants are of periodical type and continuous type. A periodical plant takes in and discharges materials periodically, while a continuous type operates constantly without interruption. At present it is the former that is prevalent.
