With increasingly serious environmental problem around the globe, governments are paying more and more attention to environmental production and application of concrete batching plants. What methods are there, then to make plants more environmental?
First, while deciding configuration of a concrete batching plant, manufacturers should equip the plant with devices of low power. The pre-condition is that the devices must meet working requirements of clients, or else they will influence normal production of concrete. Frequency converting control can also be applied to realize low energy consumption and high efficiency. These methods not only reduces air pollution but also saves cost for clients.
Second, users should try to control dust pollution of concrete batching plants as much as possible. Cement is the main resource of dust that is generated while being poured into silos by vehicles and stirred in the mixer. There is also floating dust in the process of aggregate conveying on the belt conveyor. Corresponding measures should be taken as below. Effective dust removers must be installed at the top of cement silos to keep powder material from escaping out of the silos. A cement level meter should be installed so that the operator can turn off pneumatic devices once cement reaches the level. The ground surface of storage site for aggregates should be hardened. This avoids production of dust from the ground. And the site must be enclosed and equipped with fog devices which reduces floating dust in the air. In addition, covering of the belt conveyor helps keep dust inside the cover during conveying process. To cut down dust pollution in the mixing step, users can equip connecting parts of a concrete batching plant with sealing devices and dust removers.
